New Appointments Create Buzz

Joining TVG November 1, Carlos E. Aquino has been selected to oversee all resort operations in the Puerto Vallarta region for the company, as well as assist with sales and marketing. He is based in The Villa Groups Puerto Vallarta offices. Aquino most recently served as the Caribbean Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Intercontinental Hotels Group company - managed properties in Aruba, Jamaica and St. Thomas.

We are pleased to welcome Carlos to The Villa Group and know that his extensive background in the hospitality industry makes him a tremendous asset to our company, noted Jos Castell, Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing. With the upcoming opening of Villa La Estancia Nuevo Vallarta, Carlos is joining The Villa Group team at a time of great excitement and growth. His professional accomplishments play well with our company's current and future plans.

General Manager Changes Property

Following a stint at Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta, Mauricio Salicrup has been named the new General Manager of Villa del Palmar Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta. In addition to his responsibilities at Flamingos, Salicrup will oversee the opening of Villa La Estancia Nuevo Vallarta, scheduled to complete its initial phase in Spring 2007.

Other New Appointments

In other employee news, Lupita Perez has been appointed Rental Pool Manager for Villa La Estancia Cabo San Lucas. Perez joined The Villa Group in April 2004 as Corporate Executive Sales Assistant. In addition to her new responsibilities, she will continue as assistant to Jos Castell.

On the sales side, Francisco Gonzalez has been named Corporate Sales Manager for the eastern and southeastern United States, based in Houston, TX. Most recently, Gonzalez was Founder and President of The Genesee Group, Inc., a Houston-based corporation that provides marketing solutions for hotels and destinations.
