A snapshot: Five-Star resort in Loreto
Villa Del Palmar is the only five-star resort in the Loreto area. The property overlooks the Sea of Cortez, Danzante Island and the Sierra de la Giaganta mountains.
A desirable travel destination for eco-tourists, Loreto is home to one of the largest marine parks in the world as well as Bay Loreto, which harbors 900 types of fish and reef species.
Activities offered include kayaking, snorkeling, camping and mountain climbing. Also featured is a turtle-shaped pool and one of the largest Jacuzzis in Baja California Sur. Over the summer, the hotel will open new tennis courts and its 35,000-square-foot fitness center.
Villa Del Palmar has 181 suites, studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom villas. Summer rates will start at $208 per night with third and fifth nights free.
